Best Brains and Minds Specialist clinic is a patient centred, comprehensive outpatient mental health provider. We are one of the pioneers in delivering evidence based, Medicare approved interventions for treatment resistant depression.
We have been delivering Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) in Australia since it was first approved in 2022. The clinic provides variety of rTMS treatment options to suite individual patient needs, including Accelerated rTMS.
Our clinic is a registered Esketamine centre, offering the latest effective treatment, delivered by trained and dedicated staff at a well equipped treatment facility.
Accelerated rTMS
Our clinic now provides accelerated rTMS using the SAINT (Stanford Accelerated Intelligent Neuromodulation Therapy)–like protocol, which is an innovative, fast-acting treatment option supported by high-quality research.
Esketamine
We are an esketamine registered centre providing a safe and relaxed environment with trained and dedicated nurses that will assist you in the delivery of your treatment.

Dr Sajeeva Jayalath
MBBS, FRANZCP, MRC Psych, CCT UK
- Former Clinical Director and Senior Psychiatrist at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital and Northern Beaches Community Mental Health Services.
- Senior Lecturer, University of Sydney.
Dr Jayalath trained as a psychiatrist in St Mary’s and Charing Cross Hospital in London. He has worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist in the United Kingdom (UK) and in Australia since 2006. Additionally, he has received formal training in cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic psychotherapy in the UK.
Introducing Esketamine Nasal Spray
Esketamine is one of the latest treatments for treatment resistant depression. Esketamine Nasal Spray is delivered at Best Brains and Minds Clinic under the supervision of a nurse, twice a week for the first month.
Treatment with Esketamine also has shown faster results, compared to other treatments which are available for treatment resistant depression.
