Please read the following carefully

You have received an Authority script – this is different from normal scripts that you may have received before. There are strict guidelines from the government regarding the prescribing and dispensing of this medication.  

1. These scripts last for 6 MONTHS regardless of whether you have used up all your repeats or not 

• The 6 months start from the first day you get your medication from the pharmacy  

• The script will be invalid 6 months from that date and destroyed.  

2. You can only obtain 1 repeat every 21 days  

•  1 repeat will provide you with enough medication for 30 days (no more and no less) 

Warning – If you choose to take more than you were prescribed and ‘run out’ before 6 months, you will NOT be issued a new script and you will need to wait until 6 months before a discussion with the psychiatrist will be arranged. 

IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ORGANISE AN APPOINTMENT TO REFILL YOUR SCRIPT IN TIME 

If you run out and you have not organised an appointment with the psychiatrist, you will NOT be an urgent appointment and you will need to wait until the next available appointment. Therefore, it is your responsibility to ensure that you have organised an appointment for a new script at the 5 MONTH mark.
