These Terms of Service outline the conditions under which Best Brains & Minds Specialist Clinic provides medical and administrative services. By booking an appointment, using our website, or engaging with our clinicians, you agree to these terms.
Patients must ensure they have a valid GP or specialist referral to receive Medicare rebates. Without a valid referral on the day of consultation, full private fees apply.
All fees are listed in our clinic’s fee schedule. Patients agree to pay all costs related to their health service. Saturday appointments incur an additional surcharge. Fees apply equally to in-person, telehealth, and phone consultations.
A minimum of 24 working hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule psychiatrist or general treatment appointments. Extended or specialised treatment sessions require 48 working hours’ notice. Late cancellations or non-attendance may incur fees.
The clinic reserves the right to terminate services immediately if a patient displays unacceptable behaviour, including physical threat, verbal aggression, stealing, or coercion. Repeated non-compliance, such as missing three consecutive appointments, may also result in termination.
Medical queries, cancellations, or rescheduling cannot be made via SMS or email. These must be communicated by phone. SMS and email may be used for reminders, invoices, receipts, and forms with patient consent.
With patient consent, the clinic may use Lyrebird, a secure note-taking tool, to assist with accurate documentation during consultations.
With consent, relevant clinical information may be uploaded to the patient’s My Health Record.
The clinic’s website provides general information only. It should not be used as a substitute for medical advice. Users agree not to misuse the website or attempt to breach security.
The clinic is not liable for website downtime, third-party system errors, or misuse of information by users. Clinical advice is provided only during consultations.
